Verto People Ltd in Rochester, MA is seeking a Fuel Operations Supervisor to oversee fuel processing operations at a heavy industrial facility, coordinating a team across shredding, tipping floor and materials processing.

The role involves supervising a 7–14 person team, ensuring safe, reliable plant performance, monitoring production targets, quality, and maintenance activities on a rotating day/night schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to complete the facility's required supervisor qualification standards and training.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Hot Work).
• Ability to interpret process flow diagrams, technical drawings, blueprints and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of CMMS, preventive maintenance scheduling and work orders.
• Strong communication and leadership, with ability to direct frontline teams.
• Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts.
• Previous supervisory experience in industrial manufacturing or similar environment.
• Experience overseeing shredders, material processing equipment or tipping floor operations.
• Experience coordinating maintenance activities and equipment performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily fuel plant operations, including shredders, rail tippers and tipping floor activities.
• Lead, coordinate and support a team of 7–14 operators, assigning workloads and training.
• Monitor fuel quality, production targets and equipment performance to maintain efficient plant operations.
• Conduct regular plant inspections and safety reviews to identify issues and maintain safe working conditions.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to plan servicing, preventive maintenance and corrective work.
• Manage work clearance permits and ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout and other safety procedures.
• Review operator logs and maintenance work orders using CMMS.
