Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking an Equipment Operator - Fuels (Special Temp) in Pardeeville, WI. You will operate fuel-handling equipment and perform coal yard and plant tasks on a 10-hour schedule. Relieving coverage and schedule changes may occur based on plant needs.

A valid driver’s license is required and you’ll join a team focused on safety and reliability. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and experience in an electric generating facility are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in an electric generating facility preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate fuel- and ash-handling equipment at steam generating stations.
• Maintain coal handling equipment and related structures; ensure lubrication and minor maintenance as needed.
• Assist in switching railway cars and trucks; operate cranes, bulldozers and other equipment as required.
• Follow established safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
