Alliant Energy's Columbia Energy Center in Pardeeville, WI, seeks an Equipment Operator - Operations (Special Temp) to gain hands-on experience in the power sector. You will operate and maintain turbine, boiler, coal handling and auxiliary equipment on a 12-hour rotating schedule.

Responsibilities include starting/shutting down plant equipment, performing routine maintenance, taking readings, and complying with safety procedures while working with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in an electric generating facility.
• Ability to work with others.
• Mechanical ability.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements.

Responsabilités

• Keeps the turbine, boiler and coal handling equipment in good condition.
• Cares for and purifies the station oil supply and keeps bearings lubricated.
• Assures all major and minor auxiliary equipment are operating properly.
• Operates ash and slag handling equipment.
• Performs tests, takes readings and records data.
• Starts up, shuts down and cares for all turbine and boiler auxiliaries.
