Alliant Energy's Columbia Energy Center in Pardeeville, WI seeks an Equipment Operator – Special Temp to gain hands-on experience in the power plant. You will work around turbine, boiler and coal handling equipment on a 12-hour rotating schedule.

You will perform maintenance, tests, read data, and operate ash/slag handling and environmental systems under supervision. A high school diploma or GED is required; prior power plant experience is preferred; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in an electric generating facility preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Keeps turbine, boiler and coal handling equipment neat and operating.
• Operates ash and slag handling equipment and associated systems.
• Performs tests, reads data and records measurements.
• Starts up and shuts down turbine and boiler auxiliaries; provides routine maintenance as needed.
• Works under supervision to follow procedures and safety practices.
