Alliant Energy’s Columbia Energy Center in Pardeeville, WI is hiring a Special Temp. Equipment Operator - Operations. The position involves hands-on work around turbines, boilers, coal handling, and environmental systems, with a 12-hour rotating schedule (6:00–6:00).

Safety-aware team member ready to perform maintenance and monitoring tasks. Responsibilities include operating auxiliary equipment, taking readings, maintaining oil systems, and following procedures.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in an electric generating facility preferred or equivalent industrial experience.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required by the role.
• Knowledge of basic math and science concepts at HS level.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsabilidades

• Keep turbine, boiler, and coal handling equipment clean and operating.
• Care for and purify station oil supply; lubricate bearings and equipment.
• Operate ash and slag handling equipment and related systems.
• Perform tests, take readings, and record data.
• Start up and shut down turbine and boiler auxiliaries; conduct basic maintenance.
• Follow established procedures and safety practices; assist with other duties as needed.
