Alliant Energy Corporation is seeking an Equipment Operator - Fuels to operate coal-handling equipment and support steam generation facilities. The role involves a 10-hour schedule with possible relief coverage and occasional shift changes based on plant needs.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and experience in a generating facility. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be able to perform the physical demands of the job while maintaining safety practices.

Responsabilités

• Operates fuel and ash-handling equipment and maintains coal yard and plant tasks.
• Keeps coal handling equipment neat and operating properly.
• Ensures major and auxiliary equipment are operating correctly.
• Operates ash and slag handling equipment.
• Assists in maintaining railway tracks and fuel handling structures.
• Loads/unloads coal or ash cars or barges.
• Switches railway cars and trucks as needed.
• Substitutes for lead operator as scheduled.
• Performs routine maintenance when not operating.
• Follows safety procedures and related requirements.
