Job summary

SYSCO is seeking an Operations associate responsible for checking oil, fluids, tire pressure and fueling all equipment. Daily tasks ensure equipment is ready for use and meets safety standards.

You will work with fleet shop and night warehouse management to prepare gear, wash trailers per FSQA schedule, and keep the yard orderly. A high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1-3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Able to write simple correspondence.
• Effective communication with customers and teammates.
• Basic arithmetic with units of measure.
• Learn to drive and back-up tractor-trailers and straight trucks.

Responsibilities

• Fuel every piece of delivery equipment daily.
• Check all fluid levels of power equipment daily.
• Assist the fleet shop when needed.
• Work with fleet shop and night warehouse management to ready equipment for use.
• Wash trailers per FSQA schedule
• Keep parking lot clean and free of debris.
• Support the night truck spotters to organize the truck yard.
