Job summary

Southern States Cooperative in Creedmoor, NC is seeking a Professional Petroleum Driver to operate commercial motor vehicles delivering heating oil, kerosene, diesel, and gasoline. You will load, transport, and deliver fuel and related equipment to customers while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Role requires a valid CDL with endorsements, the ability to pass hazmat/propane requirements, and a focus on accurate reporting, safety, and customer service at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• CDL with appropriate endorsements (HazMat, Tank, propane where applicable).
• Experience operating a commercial motor vehicle delivering fuel preferred.
• Able to read and interpret safety instructions and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate SSC commercial motor vehicles delivering fuel products and equipment.
• Comply with DOT regulations and SSC procedures.
• Load fuel, perform topping and proper inventory calculations.
• Provide safe, reliable deliveries and communicate with customers and facility leadership.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment records and perform basic maintenance as needed.
