Job summary

Raymer Oil is seeking a reliable Short Fuel Truck Delivery Driver to safely deliver heating oil, diesel, and other fuels to residential and commercial customers across the Piedmont region of North Carolina. You will follow routes, load/unload, and maintain DOT safety compliance.

This role requires attention to detail, strong customer service, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work early mornings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Class B CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements (Hazmat preferred or able to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and fuel handling safety procedures.
• Customer service oriented with ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a short fuel truck to deliver heating oil, diesel, and other fuels to residential and commercial customers.
• Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules while maintaining timely service.
• Safely load, transport, and unload fuel, adhering to all DOT, OSHA, and company safety procedures.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting and reporting any maintenance issues.
• Accurately measure and record fuel deliveries using meters and delivery tickets.
• Handle customer payments and ensure proper documentation for each delivery.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the truck and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status, route changes, or delays.
• Provide excellent customer service, answering basic product questions and ensuring a positive experience for customers.
