Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and service fuel cells in customer sites, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and upgrades. The role involves on-site installation, parts ordering, and documenting service activities while ensuring safety standards.

Travel to assigned locations is required, with a strong focus on communication and reliability in fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on electrical/mechanical experience, a valid driver's license,

Qualifications

• High school diploma with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver license with clean record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate a motor vehicle safely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and evaluate fleet at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support to customers as required.
• Purchasing tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required.
