Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an experienced US-FTZ Import Manager who will lead a team and ensure compliance with US Customs and FTZ regulations. The role involves developing policies, guiding internal stakeholders, and supporting tariff mitigation strategies to minimize risk across cross-border operations.

You will report to the Sr. Manager, International Trade Compliance and collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, FTZ boards, and CBP to maintain robust compliance programs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in trade compliance, preferably in a multinational company.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, including customs laws, export controls, and sanctions.
• Experience managing trade compliance programs and compliance audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of import compliance professionals.
• Ensure imports are entered in compliance with US Customs Regulations.
• Conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure site operations comply with US Foreign Trade Zone regulations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to build processes for tariff mitigation strategies.
• Manage inventory control monitoring for FTZs and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure annual reconciliation of import entries is completed accurately and timely.
• Support on-site compliance reviews with CBP and respond to CBP requests.
• Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters and training.
