Job summary

Pacific Tech Communications Inc. seeks an I&R / FTTH Technician to install, test, and repair residential fiber services in Victorville, CA. You will deploy FTTH, configure ONTs and CPE, splice fiber, and verify performance with OTDR equipment, while delivering excellent customer experiences.

The role requires fiber expertise, the ability to work independently in customers’ homes, and physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of FTTH or telecom installation experience.
• Understanding of fiber fundamentals and signal flow.
• Experience with OTDR and fiber testing equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install FTTH services including internet, voice, and IPTV.
• Perform fiber drops from terminal to customer premise.
• Install and configure ONTs, routers, and related CPE equipment.
• Splice fiber and terminate connectors.
• Test fiber using OTDR, power meters, and light source equipment.
• Troubleshoot service disruptions and perform repairs.
• Educate customers on equipment use and service features.
• Maintain accurate job documentation and service records; ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Maintain tools, vehicle, and inventory control.
• Meet daily productivity and customer satisfaction targets.
