Job summary

gFiber is seeking a Field Operations Manager I to oversee field support, balancing central office and field duties with a focus on planning, coaching, scheduling, and coordination of all team activities.

You will lead a team including Construction Technicians, OSP Plant Maintenance Technicians I and II, and Residential Installers, applying FTTH/GPON/XGS knowledge while upholding OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years of FTTH/GPON/XGS network construction experience or large-scale fiber deployments.
• 3 years in a people manager role.
• Experience managing relationships with contractors and suppliers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and hold a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 10% and work non-standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a field operations team, including planning, scheduling and coordinating construction, installation, repair and maintenance.
• Promote best practices, coach skill development, and create growth plans for individuals.
• Troubleshoot service issues from central office to customer premises.
• Handle customer interactions professionally and build relationships with property managers.
• Foster continuous learning and ensure adherence to safety standards.
