Job summary

Douglas Fast Net in Creswell, OR is seeking an OSP Installation & Maintenance Manager for the North District to lead field technicians, schedule work, and ensure first-time-right quality across installs and repairs.

You will drive safety, regulatory compliance, and customer-focused service with on-site and on-call rotation; requires 5+ years in telecom field operations and leadership; degree or equivalent experience preferred. Competitive pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in telecom or broadband field ops including 2+ years leading technicians.
• Hands-on FTTH installs, drops, ONTs, and fiber test equipment troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of OSHA and NESC requirements and utility locate rules.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Preferred: fiber splicing experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation and repair technicians and support splicers.
• Hire, train, coach, set expectations, and manage performance issues.
• Train team in DFN's customer service philosophy for top-notch experience.
• Ride along, check work, and ensure first-time-right quality.
• Build daily/weekly schedules balancing installs, tickets, and maintenance.
• Monitor install backlog, on-time appointments, repairs, and outages.
• Spot trends, fix root causes, adjust staffing or processes.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Provisioning, and Network Operations.
• Lead response to fiber cuts/outages; participate in on-call and after-hours.
• Plan preventive maintenance and manage tools, vehicles, inventory.
• Ensure OSHA/NESC compliance and accurate records.
• Handle escalated customer concerns until resolved.
