Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking a Sweeper for the 3rd shift in York, PA. You will operate an electric ride-on pallet jack to move pallets and ensure load quality from staging to doors, helping keep the distribution center running smoothly.

This role requires safety awareness, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Paid training, weekly pay, and benefits from day one are offered, with opportunities for career progression.

Job description

Position Overview

Keep our communities fed. Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices — every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors and communities.

As a Sweeper, you will use an electric ride on pallet jack to move pallets around the warehouse. You will ensure there is flow of pallets from the staging area to the correct doors, and ensure load quality.

Earn $17 per hour 3rd Shift - Wednesday Midnight-6:30am, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 6:30pm-6:30am Location - 4875 N Susquehanna Trail York, PA 17406

You will contribute by:

• Operate an electric riding pallet jack.
• Assist in unloading cross dock trailers.
• Ensure the flow of pallets from the staging area to their appropriate doors is being accomplished.
• Load, unload, and move materials onto trucks for shipment out of warehouse facility.
• Monitor pallet construction and ensure load quality.
• Prioritize work within your assigned zone.
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Physical Requirements

What’s a great way to stay in shape? Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc. Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools.
