Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking a Forklift Operator for our York, PA distribution operation. The role involves operating a Hi Lo/Reach Truck, moving merchandise, loading/unloading, and maintaining accurate inventory with handheld devices. Shifts are night-based: Wednesday midnight–6:30am; Thu/Sat 6:30pm–6:30am.

Pay starts at $19 per hour with incentive pay during training. We offer paid training, benefits from day one, PTO, holiday pay, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for career

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience operating material handling equipment.
• Experience on Reach Truck / Stand up forklift required.
• Strong sense of safety and ability to follow standard safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Hi Lo forklift (Reach Truck) to move merchandise within the warehouse.
• Accurately track inventory using a handheld computer and technology.
• Stack and rotate merchandise, replenish pick slots, and stage finished product.

Night Shift - Wednesday - Midnight to 6:30am; Thursday, Friday & Saturday 6:30pm - 6:30am

Job Description

• Operating a Hi Lo forklift (Reach Truck) to transport merchandise to designated locations in the warehouse
• Accurately tracking inventory utilizing a handheld computer and other necessary technology
• Stacking and rotating merchandise, either by hand or using material handling equipment
• Replenishing pick slots and production lines to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders
• Staging finished product in designated storage areas
• Loading and unloading merchandise from trailers
• Following all safety protocols and procedures set for a forklift operator in the warehouse
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
