Job summary

Spring Arbor of Clover Hill is seeking Resident Assistants (CNA Required) to support residents in the evenings. The role offers 6:00 AM–2:00 PM and 2:00 PM–10:00 PM shifts, with direct care under supervision and a strong focus on safety and personal assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and incontinence care
• Support meals and snacks in dining area
• Respond promptly to emergency call systems
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition
• Maintain care documentation per state regulations and Allegro Living policies
• Ensure safety, infection control, and residents’ rights compliance
• Assist with resident transportation when needed and light housekeeping
• Attend required meetings and trainings
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, coworkers, and visitors

• Greeting residents with a warm "good afternoon" and checking in on how their day went
• Helping with dinner, evening routines, and getting settled for bed, including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care
• Getting to know each resident's care plan so the care you give feels personal
• Responding to call lights and requests for help quickly and calmly
• Noticing changes in residents and letting your supervisor know
• Keeping clear notes so the next shift knows exactly what's going on
• Joining in on evening activities and helping keep the neighborhood clean, safe, and comfortable

About the role

The Resident Assistant provides direct care and support to residents under the supervision of the Resident Care Director, Supervisor-in-Charge, and/or licensed nursing staff. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care
• Supporting meals and snacks, including serving in the dining room and clearing tables
• Responding promptly to emergency call systems
• Observing, documenting, and reporting changes in residents' condition
• Maintaining care documentation in line with state regulations and Allegro Living policies
• Following safety, sanitation, infection control, residents' rights, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements
• Assisting with resident transportation when needed (valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and insurability may be required)
• Helping with light cleaning and laundry in resident rooms and common areas
• Attending required meetings and in-service trainings
• Communicating professionally with residents, families, coworkers, and visitors
• Other related duties as assigned
