JOB PURPOSE

Under the guidance of the Food and Beverage Manager, the Pool Experience Attendant will deliver exceptional pool experiences to guests, ensuring safety and satisfaction by greeting guests, providing towels, arranging seating, setting up cabanas, serving food and drinks efficiently, supporting wait and bar staff, and maintaining pool area cleanliness.

DUTIES + FUNCTIONS

  1. Support and love their TEAM and guests.
  2. Greet guests warmly, respond promptly to needs, and ensure customer satisfaction in collaboration with Food and Beverage Managers.
  3. Escort guests, assist with lounge setup, and interact courteously, including describing menu items, taking and serving orders, and managing guest checks.
  4. Set up and break down umbrellas, cabanas, and pool areas, maintaining cleanliness per health and safety standards.
  5. Perform opening and closing duties, including preparing towels, stocking linens, and setting up service stations.
  6. Maintain assigned areas by removing and replacing towels, trays, glasses, and trash.
  7. Expedite food service, manage beverage refills, and ensure bar stock levels.
  8. Prepare and serve beverages such as tea, coffee, water, and soft drinks.
  9. Clear tables and ensure proper care of tableware and equipment.
  10. Communicate effectively with kitchen, managers, and staff, fostering positive relationships.
  11. Understand operational setups and complete daily checklists.
  12. Support and coordinate with bartenders and kitchen staff for smooth service and compliance.
  13. Meet standards and guest requirements consistently.
  14. Maintain knowledge of all menu items.
  15. Assist kitchen in service flow, maintain cleanliness, and ensure proper supplies.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Communicate clearly and positively with team members.
  2. Remain calm during emergencies or busy times, serving as a role model.
  3. Make decisions based on experience and judgment, adapting procedures as needed.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Use PPE when necessary, report damages or issues, and adhere to safety protocols.

GROOMING/UNIFORMS

Maintain a neat and professional appearance as per guidelines provided during orientation.

OTHER

Additional language skills are preferred.

Qualifications

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years in a public contact role, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle hotel.
  • Hospitality-driven personality with a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and pay attention to detail.
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and departments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for at least eight hours, and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors year-round based on business volumes.
