Job summary

WestRock Coffee in Conway, AR is seeking an FSQA Technician I to perform real-time quality control checks on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products throughout the production cycle. You will calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments, verify production records, and document inspection results.

The role requires 1–2 years of QA experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow SOPs with clear communication while maintaining GMP compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of quality inspection, auditing, data collection, or testing.
• Minimum 6 months of laboratory experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and logical reasoning.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to follow SOPs and written instructions.
• English reading and speaking proficiency.
• Prior experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Strong math skills including percentages, averages, and standard deviation.
• Ability to respond promptly to information requests.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections on all packaging and products to ensure specifications.
• Perform in-process quality checks and evaluate QA personnel work.
• Ensure all products meet FSMA and Global Food Safety standards.
• Execute quality checks including pressure, sensory evaluation, and packaging integrity.
• Perform lab analysis of products.
• Enter test results into the quality database and document lab samples.
• Identify nonconformances and notify FSQA leadership for disposition.
• Visually inspect finished product containers for defects.
• Conduct testing on held or reworked products.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and safety.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Adhere to policies, GMPs, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to FSQA goals.
