Job summary

WestRock Coffee is seeking an FSQA Technician I to perform real-time quality control checks on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products throughout the production cycle, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and internal standards.

You will operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments, document inspection results, enter test data into the quality database, and collaborate with the team to address nonconformances and protect product quality.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in quality inspection, auditing, data collection, or testing.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and logical reasoning skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to follow schedules, SOPs, and both verbal and written instructions.
• English proficiency in reading and speaking.
• Prior experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Strong math skills, including percentages, averages, and standard deviation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections on packaging and products to ensure specifications.
• Perform in-process quality checks and evaluate production and QA outputs.
• Verify compliance with FSMA and Global Food Safety standards.
• Execute lab quality checks and analyze results.
• Enter test results into the quality database and document samples.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
