Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a hands-on Assistant FSQA Manager to support site food safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness at the Anacortes operation. You will work with the FSQA Manager to ensure products meet requirements, drive continuous improvement, and mentor QA staff on HACCP practices.

You will lead the day-to-day execution of FSQA programs, coordinate across production, sanitation, and maintenance, and participate in internal and customer audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience in QA, preferably in food production or seafood.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• HACCP certification.
• Experience supporting regulatory, customer, third-party, or GFSI audits (e.g., BRC, FDA).

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop QA team members and provide direction.
• Ensure shipped products meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Perform and document audits for GMPs, sanitation, labeling, and FSQA programs.
• Verify CCPs, prerequisite programs, and process controls; escalate deviations.
• Integrate FSQA with production, sanitation, maintenance, and warehousing.
• Monitor quality performance, COPQ, FPQ, and risk indicators.
• Support PIN awareness, containment, and cross-functional coordination.
