Job summary

Mike Hudson Dist. is seeking a FSQA Supervisor to support the implementation of the Quality Management System and ongoing development of QA programs to meet regulations and standards.

The role involves interaction with USDA inspectors, internal audits, and training on CCPs, Food Defense, and QA systems. The candidate should have a bachelor’s in a related field and at least three years in QA management, with HACCP training and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of quality assurance management.
• Knowledge of USDA meat and poultry regulations, FDA regulations, GMPs, food safety audits, process procedures and documentation.
• GFSI audit experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• HACCP trained.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement local site documents with oversight from direct supervisor.
• Interact with USDA inspectors to ensure compliance with federal regulations and resolve deficiencies.
• Support facility compliance through onsite monitoring and verification activities.
• Maintain readiness for Third Party GMP audit.
• Schedule and deliver local site food safety trainings including CCPs and Quality Management systems.
• Investigate, log, track, and trend customer complaints and support corrective actions.
• Lead or support internal audits and track corrective actions to closure.
• Collaborate with leadership to establish annual QA objectives.
