Job summary

Particle Control invites a skilled FSQA Manager to lead and improve our food safety and quality systems. The role oversees a small FSQ team, mentors coordinators, and drives day-to-day activities for dry food & agricultural materials processing with a semi-automated system. The environment may be loud and dusty.

The ideal candidate will coordinate internal and external audits, advance program development, and ensure pathogen-free operations while guiding CAPA responses and HACCP documentation.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required.
• Identify areas for food safety/quality improvement.
• Strong arithmetic skills.
• Follow and enforce food safety procedures.
• Ability to lead, mentor, train employees.
• 2+ years post-secondary education in food science or equivalent.
• Assist customers with human and animal food product development.
• Proficient with computers, digital information, and quality management software.
• Deep understanding of GMPs, HACCP, and related systems.
• Strong aptitude for technology and organizing digital information.

Responsibilities

• Administer, refine, and execute the overall food safety system.
• Drive internal audits and manage 3rd party audits.
• Drive strategy, program development, and process improvement.
• Assist EMP monitoring to maintain a pathogen-free environment.
• Help refine and verify food safety and quality goals.
• Communicate challenges and needs of the quality dept.
• Analyze, create, audit HACCP documents and related programs.
• Conduct internal food safety & quality audits and CAPA responses.
• Perform HACCP analysis and QC verifications.
• Create and conduct sanitation validation studies.
