Job summary

Tyson Foods in the United States is seeking a Leader I for the first shift. You will report to the Production Manager and oversee daily production, perform inspections, and ensure adherence to SOPs while maintaining safety, quality and efficiency.

You will lead setups, coordinate with other leaders, and coach associates to meet production targets; experience in meat processing and leadership is favored. This is a full-time, early shift position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Set up and verify department readiness for daily production
• Lead activities at start of day and communicate changes
• Coordinate with Leaders and Managers during lot changes
• Perform audits of equipment, product and work performance
• Monitor department efficiency and adjust operations as needed
• Report downtime causes to Production Manager and Maintenance
• Oversee end-of-day shutdown and training of associates
• Assist in employee reviews and support disciplinary processes
• Support HR communications and customer service to employees
