Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Supervisor to lead a FSQA team on the 1st shift. You will verify production paperwork, conduct floor checks, and coordinate audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.

The role involves preparing for GFSI and customer audits, investigating complaints and environmental issues, and communicating with USDA regulators. Prior supervisory experience and HACCP/HARPC certifications are preferred; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• HACCP/HARPC certifications preferred; broad knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP and SSOPs.

Responsibilities

• Lead FSQA technicians on the assigned shift.
• Verify production paperwork and conduct production floor checks.
• Conduct audits and assist the FSQA manager in ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Prepare the facility for GFSI and customer-specific audits.
• Investigate and address customer complaints, foreign material incidents, and environmental issues.
• Communicate with onsite regulators (USDA).
• Facilitate Team Member food safety training.
• Flexible work hours and weekend coverage as needed.
• Lock Out Tag Out certification may be required.
