Church's Chicken is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare and cook food items according to the Shift Manager’s directions and the Church’s Operating Standards Manual. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and maintaining quality throughout service.

Responsibilities include batter preparation, fryer management, stock checks, and ongoing cleanliness. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, following safety guidelines and contributing to a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Sets up the batter table, collects all necessary smallwares, and prepares batter mix.
• Ensures that call sheets are complete, posted and used.
• Checks all equipment and reports malfunctions to the Manager in Charge.
• Color balances fryers and maintains proper shortening level.
• Filters and cleans fryers at designated times following safety guidelines.
• Pans sufficient chicken for operational needs.
• Prepares and cooks all food as dictated by the needs of the business and at the direction of the Manager in Charge.
• Ensures that all food product meets the specifications, procedures and quality standards per SOM, including holding times.
• Maintains a clean work area using clean-as-you-go practices and sanitation guidelines.
• Verifies all necessary product and supplies are stocked at the batter area.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of the cooler.
• Performs all other tasks as assigned by Manager in Charge of Shift.
