Shady Nook Inn is seeking a reliable Fry Cook / Kitchen Team Member to join our lakeside bar restaurant. You’ll operate the fry station, prep fried menu items, and help maintain high standards of food quality and sanitation.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Fry Cook / Kitchen Team Member to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in preparing consistently great food. This role is primarily responsible for operating the fry station, preparing fried menu items, and maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the fryer station during service
• Prepare fried menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
• Monitor fryer oil quality, temperature, and cooking times to ensure safe, consistent results
• Keep the fry station stocked, clean, organized, and ready for service
• Prepare and portion ingredients needed for the fry station
• Follow all food-handling, allergen-awareness, safety, and sanitation procedures
• Help with opening, closing, cleaning, and basic kitchen prep duties
• Communicate with kitchen team members to keep ticket times moving efficiently
• Assist with inventory, restocking, and supply organization as needed

Requirements:

• Previous fry cook, line cook, or kitchen experience preferred
• Comfortable working with fryers and hot cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to timing, quality, cleanliness, and food safety
• Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and direction from kitchen leadership
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Reliable, dependable, and able to remain organized during busy shifts
