Job summary

The Avra Group is hiring a Fry Cook to prepare fried foods to the restaurant’s recipes and standards. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring food quality, proper temperatures, and timely delivery of dishes.

This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of fryer operation and food safety, and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior fry cook experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Fry Cook or in a similar role preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality food.
• Knowledge of fryer operation and food safety standards.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fried foods, including appetizers, sides, and main dishes, according to the menu and recipes.
• Ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and consistency, maintaining high-quality standards.
• Monitor fryer temperatures and oil levels, ensuring safe and proper operation.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage, handling, and cooking of food.
• Regularly clean fryers and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Monitor the supply of ingredients needed for fried dishes and inform the kitchen manager of any shortages.
• Properly store and label food items according to health and safety regulations.
• Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure all fried items are prepared and delivered on time.
• Assist with other kitchen duties as needed, including prep work and cleaning.
