• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume during hours of operation.
• Train associates and participate in performance appraisals.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines.
• Create an inviting environment and assist customers with product questions.
• Maintain knowledge of products and provide recommendations.
• Display a positive attitude and lead by example.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Understand store layout and product locations.
• Plan and execute in-store promotions with management.
• Inform associates about current and upcoming promotions.
• Prepare seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor.
• Stay updated on ads and promotions.
• Assist management with budget, P&L reviews and financial reporting actions.
• Maintain awareness of inventory; note discrepancies.
• Schedule price changes and update shelf tags.
• Plan and supervise inventory processes.
• Train staff on inventory/stocking and computer ordering.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Report safety risks or illegal activity.
• Perform essential duties with/without reasonable accommodation.
