Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Retail/Grocery experience.
• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing).

Responsibilities

• Make hiring, discipline, and termination decisions or provide substantive input.
• Communicate department and job information to associates.
• Establish performance goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Adhere to laws, guidelines, and food safety regulations.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions and making product recommendations.
• Inform customers of specials and offer samples to help discover new items.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Create and execute weekly and period sales promotions with store management.
• Plan/organize inventory processes and train staff on stocking and Computer Assisted Ordering.
