Job summary

Coborn's Incorporated is seeking an Assistant Department Manager to support the Frozen & Dairy Department Manager in daily operations at our Fargo, ND location. You will help manage staff, handle customer service, and ensure product freshness through proper rotation and inventory control.

The role involves directing workload, training and evaluating team members, and providing front-end support when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail grocery operations preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train staff, and evaluate performance.
• Strong recordkeeping and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of inventory control and shrink reduction.

Responsibilities

• Direct staff during shifts, assign workload, and supervise daily operations.
• Provide counseling, coaching, and performance evaluations for team members.
• Operate cash register and assist front-end as needed.
• Maintain stock levels, rotate products, and ensure freshness in the Frozen & Dairy department.
