You will assist the department manager with operations, drive customer service, and manage staff performance, training, and scheduling while controlling costs and inventory. You may also handle front-end tasks like running a register.

The role emphasizes supervision, counseling, and ensuring product freshness and regulatory compliance in daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist Frozen & Dairy Department Manager to ensure successful operation of the department
• Direct workload, counsel, train, evaluate, and supervise staff when in charge of the department
• Maintain accurate records and monitor expenses, inventory, shrink, and freshness of stock
• Rotate stock to remove out-of-date merchandise and ensure product rotation
• Provide front-end support by running a register, bagging, or assisting customers as needed
