Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Nurse/Team Lead for the Patient Account Team Lead within the Patient Revenue Management Organization. This onsite role supports FCCs and ensures adherence to policies, working with the Service Access Manager to provide real-time coaching and guidance.

The position focuses on daily registration, financial counseling activities, scheduling, and front-end revenue cycle processes, with a commitment to patient privacy and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; college preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and telephone etiquette.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and train staff.
• Experience in supervisory roles and staff scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline support to Financial Care Counselors (FCCs) and escalate urgent issues.
• Assist in planning work schedules and daily FCC assignments.
• Monitor hospital work queues and ensure timely account resolution.
• Coach and round with team to improve patient interaction and scripting.
