Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Tech to support clinical teams with essential patient care tasks in an on-site hospital setting. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and listed on the Illinois CNA Registry.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs varied clinical/patient care tasks under RN/physician direction.
• Collects, labels and transports specimens as assigned.
• Obtains 12-lead EKGs and performs bladder scans as needed.
• Assists with personal hygiene and nutritional needs per care plan.
• Performs hourly patient rounding and documents data per RN instructions.
• Maintains patient environment safety and responds to call lights promptly.
