Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day activities and a staff focused on safe, efficient package sortation. The role includes managing hiring, coaching, training, and performance for a team while ensuring compliance with FedEx policies and regulatory standards.

You will lead safety initiatives, develop staff, and optimize operations through data-driven insights, while communicating updates in meetings and mentoring newer supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Six (6) months experience required in package handler or supervisory roles.
• Ability to inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team.
• Demonstrated ability to build professional rapport and lead a team.
• Verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to read, interpret and draw conclusions from numerical data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop staff to ensure safe, efficient sortation of packages.
• Hire, coach, train, recognize and manage staff performance and discipline.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and manage employees to optimize safety and efficiency in sortation.
• Analyze performance and implement improvement actions.
• Lead daily meetings and communicate updates to teams.
