Waste Management is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee to lead onboarding, development, coaching, and performance management for drivers and helpers. The role emphasizes field presence with frontline teams and building strong relationships to support daily operations and safety.

The position involves leading coaching conversations, practicing WM Way principles, and ensuring regulatory documentation is maintained. Prior leadership in operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate's degree required or high school diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding, development, coaching, mentoring and performance management of drivers and helpers.
• Spend majority of time in the field with frontline employees and build positive relationships.
• Lead safety culture and conduct root-cause investigations for injuries/incidents.
