Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to protect assets and deliver friendly service.

You will greet customers with a warm, energetic greeting and monitor store entrances to deter theft, while applying established security procedures. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in customer service, a strong sense of confidentiality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or loss prevention.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Willingness to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a positive, energetic demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm, confident greeting.
• Monitor entrances/exits to reduce theft opportunities and ensure security standards.
• Conduct bag and package checks following safety and policy guidelines.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and store procedures.
