U.S. Army General Surgeon opportunities offer a platform to lead surgical care for Soldiers, retirees and families. You will diagnose, consult and perform surgeries while engaging in ongoing education and collaboration with a world-class military health care team.

You will contribute to innovations in surgical practice, participate in trainings, and support humanitarian missions as part of Army Medical Corps. Active Duty service may include stipends and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school or osteopathy.
• Foreign graduates may apply if they have an ECFMG permanent certificate.
• Current medical license in the United States, DC or Puerto Rico.
• Board eligibility/certification in general surgery.
• Completed at least one year of approved GME internship and a general surgery training program.

Responsabilités

• Examine, diagnose, consult and prescribe treatments for patients.
• Perform surgeries for Soldiers, retirees and their families.
• Participate in ongoing education, trainings, seminars and conferences.
• Collaborate with Army Medical team for patient care and research initiatives.
