Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide Basic Life Support for emergency and non-emergency requests across Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Union Counties. You will assess patients, render pre-hospital care, and coordinate with police, fire, ALS, and hospital teams.

The role requires NJ EMT certification (or equivalent), BLS certification, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work flexible shifts in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Current NJ EMT certification or valid NREMT EMT Basic.
• AHA BLS Health Care Provider certification.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts in emergency settings.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls promptly and safely in various environments.
• Assists public safety personnel and healthcare providers during patient care.
• Assesses patients and provides pre-hospital BLS treatment per condition.
• Documents patient data and handoffs clearly to next care level.
• Operates EMS vehicles safely and follows policies and vehicle operation rules.
• Maintains equipment and vehicle readiness, including PPE and supplies.
