Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide Basic Life Support and transport for emergency and non-emergency requests. The role requires coordination with police, fire, and healthcare teams, along with accurate patient reporting and adherence to NJ regulations.

The EMT will operate in various settings, maintain PPE, and ensure safe and timely care while meeting licensure and training requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• NJ EMT certification or NREMT/state EMT with reciprocity required.
• AHA BLS Health Care Provider or BLS Instructor certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• CEVO/EVOC training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency transport requests promptly and professionally.
• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) care and transport patients safely.
• Maintain and document patient care reports accurately and promptly.
• Assist with equipment checks and vehicle maintenance as required.
• Collaborate with other emergency services and healthcare providers.
