Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an EMT to provide Basic Life Support services in emergency and non-emergency settings within New Jersey. The role involves triage, transport, and coordination with other emergency services, while adhering to NJ regulations and HMH policies.

The candidate must hold NJ EMT or NREMT-EMT with NJ reciprocity, BLS certification, a valid driver's license, and at least two years of BLS experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current NJ EMT or NREMT-EMT with NJ reciprocity within 6 months.
• AHA BLS for Health Care Providers certification or BLS Instructor Certification.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Two years of BLS experience; 911 experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls in a timely manner.
• Assists and supports public safety personnel and healthcare providers during patient care.
• Assesses the patient and provides pre-hospital BLS treatment per condition.
• Maintains vehicle, equipment, and cleanliness during shifts.
• Completes patient care reports and adheres to state/federal regulations.
