Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide Basic Life Support services for emergency and non-emergency requests. You will integrate care with police, fire, and other EMS providers, document patient care reports, and perform daily vehicle/equipment checks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include current NJ EMT certification, BLS certification, a valid driver's license, and strong written/verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills suitable for EMS reporting and data entry.
• Active EMT-Basic certification and NJ EMT licensure or eligibility, with BLS training.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls in a timely manner.
• Assists and supports all public safety personnel and healthcare providers during patient care.
• Assesses patient and provides Basic Life Support according to condition and protocols.
• Documents patient data, care provided, and handoffs to receiving clinicians.
• Maintains vehicle readiness, equipment checks, and fueling as part of shift duties.
