Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide Basic Life Support for emergency and non-emergency requests in alignment with New Jersey regulations and hospital protocols.

The role requires NJ EMT certification (or NR EMT with reciprocity), a valid driver’s license, BLS certification, EVOC/CEVO within 90 days, and strong written and verbal communication. You must be able to operate in diverse, hazardous environments and assist with lifting heavy equipment

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Intro to Incident Command System (ICS-100) and ICS-200 training.
• ICS-700/NIMS introductory course completion.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) services for emergency and non-emergency requests.
• Coordinate with police, fire, ALS and other EMS agencies as needed.
• Complete patient care reports for each transport.
• Follow NJ regulations and hospital protocols during operations.
