Job summary

Greenwood County Government's Greenwood EMS is seeking an EMT to join our emergency medical services team, delivering high-quality patient care during critical transport and emergencies.

As an EMT, you will perform patient assessments, airway management, and basic life support, collaborating with hospital staff and maintaining equipment for rapid deployment. Minimum requirements include SC EMT-B certification, CPR, a clean driver's license, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED plus EMT training.
• SC EMT-B certification or eligibility.
• Must be in good physical health.
• Clean SC driver's license.
• No prior EMS experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate, lifesaving medical care and transport in emergency situations
• Perform patient assessments and administer basic life support techniques
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, EMS team members, and hospital staff
• Maintain equipment and ensure vehicles are ready for rapid deployment
