Job summary

Atrium Health Fort Mills EMS is seeking a full-time EMT to join the transport team. You will provide care for ill and injured patients, document care accurately, and operate EMS equipment in a dynamic, high-stress setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining vehicle readiness, following Medical Control guidance, and collaborating with base staff. SC EMT certification is required; NC/SC EMT-B and NREMT eligibility within 90 days is preferred. Flexible 40-hour weekly shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• SC EMT certification required; NC/SC EMT-B and National Registry preferred; within 90 days of hire.
• BCLS required; trauma certification within 6 months.
• Valid driver’s license (NC/SC) with limited points; Atrium Health driving course within first week.

Responsibilities

• Complete skills checks promptly and accurately.
• Maintain clean base and vehicle readiness.
• Restock and verify transport vehicle supplies at shift start and as needed.
• Document patient care accurately and file in patient records.
• Provide quality patient care per policies and state regulations; follow Medical Control guidance.
• Assist with public relations and marketing activities when needed.
• Follow safety guidelines; ensure seat belts are worn by crew and passengers.
• Adhere to vehicle assignments; adapt to schedule changes.
• Drive in accordance with Atrium Health policies and applicable laws.
