Job summary

Seaboard Energy in Merriam, Kansas is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to build first and embed with the Energy business. You will own end-to-end data platforms, APIs, and semantic models, delivering high-leverage features with AI-Assisted Development.

You will work across data pipelines, ontology, and applications, shipping reusable patterns, mentoring others, and ensuring production readiness with monitoring and runbooks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technical delivery experience.
• Track record of shipping production software and data pipelines hands-on.
• Hands-on experience building data solutions on Microsoft Fabric or equivalent cloud platform.
• Data warehouse or lakehouse design patterns: medallion architecture, data modeling, incremental loads.
• Hands-on proficiency with AI-Assisted Development.
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS cloud platforms and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to set technical patterns and standards.
• Ability to lead cross-team initiatives and manage stakeholders.
• Ability to break large problems into small deliverables.
• Understanding of business operations and data-architecture alignment.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data and AI initiatives from scoping to rollout.
• Gather, ingest, transform, and serve data across the business.
• Build/consume, and maintain APIs with clear contracts.
• Model and extend business ontology in Foundry and AIP.
• Build applications, agents, and tools on top of the ontology and data platform.
• Embed within Energy teams to ship working software.
• Ensure releases and data assets are operationally ready with monitoring and runbooks.
