Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. HomeGoods store in Montgomery, AL is hiring a frontline associate to promote a highly-satisfied customer experience and support sales floor operations.

You will train Associates, run registers, handle money, and ensure adherence to policies while maintaining merchandising standards and a safe, welcoming environment. Starting pay ranges from $13.75 to $14.25 per hour, with opportunities to grow within TJX's benefits program.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Able to train and provide direction to others.
• Able to run a register and handle money.
• Able to lift heavy merchandise with or without accommodations.
• Available to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a highly satisfied customer experience
• Drives customer loyalty through programs and initiatives
• Addresses customer concerns and issues promptly
• Updates Associates on customer feedback, goals, and initiatives
• Trains and mentors Associates on policies and procedures
• Provides recognition and constructive feedback on cashier performance
• Maintains cash controls including change fund
• Adheres to labor laws and break policies
• Assigns registers and coordinates breaks for coverage
• Maintains cleanliness and merchandising standards
• Monitors frontline equipment and reports issues
• Executes and adheres to company directives
• Upholds queue-line merchandising standards
• Complies with loss prevention policies and procedures
• Ensures safe environment and handles damages/stock issues
• Performs other duties as assigned
