Job summary

First Step Communities is seeking a dedicated Client Support Associate to assist in our Sacramento program, supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and helping connect them with resources. You will monitor clients, maintain safety, and guide access to services within the campus.

The role is full-time, in-person, with weekend shifts required. A strong team orientation and adaptability to outdoor conditions are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Driver's License or Government ID required.
• Full-time schedule; ability to work weekends and graveyard shifts.
• Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and direct guests to shelter/cabins and facilities.
• Maintain safety watch day and night.
• Resolve conflicts professionally when issues arise.
• Assist clients in accessing resources and services.
• Distribute meals and manage donations.
• Document daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Check in/check out of clients and visitors.
• Disinfect and clean beds/cabins and move client belongings.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
