Qualifications

• Experience: One year or more of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level that includes detaining suspected violators, enforcing import/export laws, and performing risk assessments.
• Education Substitution: Master's degree or higher, or two or more years of graduate education, or LL.B./J.D.
• Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of specialized experience and graduate education.

Responsibilities

• Detaining suspected violators and making rapid, accurate judgments in line with regulations.
• Enforcing laws relating to importing, exporting, and international shipping.
• Utilizing intelligence techniques to identify threats and conduct risk assessments.
• Conducting interviews to gather information for determining appropriate actions.
• Acting in a law enforcement capacity to ensure compliance and safety.
