Qualifications

• Minimum one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, including detaining suspected violators and enforcing import/export laws.
• Master’s degree or higher or graduate education leading to such degree, or an LL.B./J.D. from an accredited institution.
• Combination of specialized experience and graduate education can satisfy requirements.
• Citizenship: U.S. citizen; residency requirements; Veterans Recruitment Appointment eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Detaining suspected violators and/or arresting violators using proper law-enforcement methods.
• Conducting risk assessments and using intelligence techniques to identify threats.
• Participating in CBP Field Operations training and pre-academy orientation.
